had a guy come 120 miles yesterday to view the car. He loved it and after a spin and a chat left me a deposit to secure it as he is in the middle of selling his own car.

Today was a really nice mild sunny day in Eire and went for a spin with targas off, getting the usual stares and smiles and nice comments. But more than that, I really appreciated being behind the wheel of it again as i have hardly driven it in the last couple of months. What a great feeling, just reminded me of why I love these cars. The sound, the driving experience, the thrill, the relaxed mood.

I'm expecting a call in the next week or 2 to say he's on his way to pick it up :headvswal :( Has to go though, i've got priorities.

sometimes I read threads on here of people selling up because they have issues too, and kind of shrug it off thinking it's just they're bored with it and maybe a bit of cash would come in handy. Well now I know exactly how it REALLY feels. Am I looking for sympathy? you can chalk it fooking down I am :duffer:

i knew if i drove my old mk2 golf vr6 while it was up for sale i would never be able to sell it, i used to get lifts to work or borrow other people cars

i would sell my soul for that car, best car ive ever had, not as quick or as special as the zed, but there was just something about it

why oh why did you post this thread lol

i do know what you are going through though

I know what you are talking about. Sell not sell, sell, not sell?

Been this so many times.

Allan

I've driven hundreads of cars and quite a few bikes(owned about 30+ vehicles in last 20 years) in my time and only 2 of them were a real pleasure and thrill to drive/ride one was my RD250Lc tuned to 130mph and the other is the zed I own. I had threatened to sell her many many times already in less than a year but know I will miss her too much. She's having a rebuild and has been away for a month and these last 2 weeks of sunshine have been awfull. I want my lady back

yours would be one to rob a bank for, absolutely gorgous and flawless

There's very little I'd part the Z for. I shall keep it. Even as a relic when I'm driving something better. Priorities is another kettle of fish and I hope I don't have reason to ever sell mine.

I've been saying that for years :) mothball it when i can't afford to keep it on the road, see myself old and grey haired and tipping down the country lanes in the old Z.....fussing over changing a headlight bulb in the driveway when someone calls and i can bore the arse off them for an hour or so....telling my great grandchildren what "targas" are......sniff.....

Chewie, I like the picture on ya sig. is that Balamory? Lol :x:

WTF? :duffer: :)
Just kidding bud, reminds me of the kids programme balamory, with all the different coloured houses. :)

 Really sorry to hear Mick. Im sure you have a good reason to have to force yourself to sell. Hopefully situations will change and you'll be back in a 'Z' Driving seat before you know it.

Dont you dare think about dissapearing from this place though !

David

I have thought about selling a number of times but I know I will not be able to get what it is worth and I know I wont be able to find anything nearly as much fun to drive.

good luck with the sale, and hopefully you will be back in a zed soon enough...

Thanks David, already dreaming of next year and trying to be optimistic. and like a lot of peeps on here i've seen before, selling up doesn't mean you disappear from the club.

I've met a lot of good people on 300zx.co.uk , I won't be going too far :)

Not in 'real' Europe! LOL, they are still going fo £5 - 6k. Go to France and Germany and they are going sometimes £7K - £8K. They are only really worthless in the UK and Australia/New Zealand. US they still fetch $10,000 for a good one, that's about £5k...but in an economy which is 2:1 against us, it's the equivalent to £10k.

Have you been spying on me, your right tho', the grandchildren love it. Theo who is 6 lies on the floor alongside it looking at his reflection in the gleaming black paintwork and of course when they want the pants scared off them, they can asked uncle Jimmer to take them for a spin in his, and it is a spin too. He's bit of a doughnut king. :)
