Hoping someone here can help with this. My daughter aged 20 is heading over to the mainland June 6th for a 10 week beauty course near Covent garden in London. Anyone know of some cheap accommadation or better still anyone fancy letting out a spare room for these 10 weeks ? i'll be paying ( as usual)

She's a tidy person and very helpful around the house, she'll be on her own and just needs somewhere to crash at night and revise.

She will be looking for part time work for the weekends as well just to give her some cash of her own, she's done bar/club work if anyone has ideas, or any type of work really.

Any help or guidance, would be very grateful.

cheers

I think you will find it expensive to rent in the Covent Garden area for just 10 weeks.

Unfortunately I live too far out to be of help. It would cost more on the train than it would to rent.

Good luck finding somewhere.

No probs mate, thanks for responding anyways. So a nice kind Zed family with a spare room and happy of a few quid for 10 weeks is my best bet then, oh and she likes her Zeds :)

She would be better getting somewhere a bit further out, getting an oyster card and travelling in, somewhere like travelodge putney/fulham then she can get the district line to embankment and from there it is a 10 min walk?

Agreed, the transport links are good from covent garden and its easy walking distance from leicester square, holborn etc, which gives you the central, northern, piccadily tubes to get there on so maybe try a bit west on the centralline ??

There are sometimes temporary accomodation available on http://www.gumtree.co.uk

agree with the above comments, its going to be expensive in covent garden, and pretty hectic too, best bet is to go out a bit and commute in. even harrow isnt a bad commute.
