Make them up out of sheet steel, or pay an arm and leg for Nissan panels if you want to save time!

Hi, I have been told that MJP Eastern Auto's is a good place to source replacement panels. It sounds like we are both attempting the same task. I have only got mine off the ground at the moment on axle stands but hope to start removing metal soon. Maybe we can share idears as we go??

its frightening when you see a little hole in your sill of your pride and joy and you investigate and when your finished theres nothing there at all right through to the inner sill .

i think the titanic is in better shape than my sills.....

I know how you feel!! :headvswal My sills have gone front and back, inside and out. I thought that was bad enough but have found several parts of the floor also need attention. I am now part way through totally stripping the inside and underneath of the car ready to start work :headvswal

P.S. I hear that Clarke Mig Welders rank amongst the best for this type of work

They are ok.Ideally you need Anything with a fan, and the ability to turn the power right down if you are inexperienced.

I had rear sills, little bit of arch, brace part redone + painted+ got qouted anywhere between £350-£1000 to do the job.A sill section could be put into a rough shape for drinks money at any fabrication workshop,So well worth having a go.Dont set the bugger on fire though.... I could tell you a tale there, but i wont, better a wet car than running indoors to fill a bucket while the small fire becomes a 999 call  So beware welding without an accomplice+ look out for hidden wiring + anything else on the other side liable to melt .Oh. I'm rambling :o :slap:
