my nissan went in the garage yesterday to get the new box oil cooler and exhaaust fitted.. now the box and exhaust are done but the lad does not know were the cooler connects to and it needs to be out his garage 2 day :headvswal

there are two 12mm hoses under the alternator going to the radiator.

These are the original lines to the ATF heat exchanger in the radiator.

Easiest is to route these 2 hoses straight to an external oil cooler.

Other and better way is to route one of these hoses to the external cooler and route the other line from the external cooler back into the heat exchanger of the radiator (to the point the old hose connected to)

once there disonnected from rad do u have to block the rad holes(i know stupid ? really..) but the micanics are busy and i have been sent to find out more :wack:

no.

oil will drip out for a while, but it's just the oil that's left in the heat exchanger

If you are bypassing the rad completely then no, just drain any oil out of the rad side tanks.

just herd my new exhaust before and am well happy with the noise of a single exit lol :duffer:

 

i got butterflys

whta exhaust did it have on before, might be interested if its aftermarket and cheap enough.

ah no problem matey it was after market i wanted anyway, you should've put them up for sale on here
