my zed doesnt like to accelerate above 3500 rpm when cold, it will actually do it, but coughs and splutters and seems to be chocking up, it gets a bit better when warm but then sometimes when im sitting in traffic the revs slowy start to creep up to 2000 rpm, a quick blip of the throttle usualy sorts it out

there is a time when the engine is warming that the car runs perfect, it pulls like a train doesnt miss, doesnt backfire and feels correct

ive also noticed that if i drive home from work, it doesnt run correcttly for most of the way home, but if i switch off and leave it for a bit (maybe an hour) it runs much better if i g back out in it, im assuming that i may have a fault with the AIV (possibly wiring)

any ideas oh great ones

i never take mine above 3000 when cold

hmmm. thinking about it i never take it above 3k full stop

Sorry Allan I missed this earlier. Saz is right, don't over rev whe cold. Although it should still do it - check the ecu temp sender connections are clean

have checked the temp sensor, all seem fine, im not thrashing it, but taking it above 3000rpm when pulling out of junctions and so on is just a big no no, but as per previous problems, if i reset tps, ecu and so on, it wont do it for a hundred miles or so

have checked pkugs, timing seems ok, have checked connectors all over the engine, cant see or hear any bost leaks (although they may still be there)

am at my wits end with it

Just a complete off chance but have you tried a different ECU?
