For any of you that travel on the M25.................

BEWARE..............

As from 15th Feb 2008 the speed cameras between junctions 10

(Wisley/A3) and 15 (Heathrow) WILL be active. At present they

are set intermittently to activate with any vehicle travelling

over 93 MPH. As from the 15th they will be permanently set to

activate at 80 MPH.

I am reliable informed that everyone travelling over this speed

WILL get a ticket. This will no doubt rake the Government

`loads of cash`. DON'T GET CAUGHT.

Another version of them same rubbish

To Operational Officers,

I have received information from RPU Traffic Management that the company who look after the Variable Speed cameras between Jct 10 - 15 on the M25 on behalf of the Metropolitan police are ACTIVATING the cameras from 15/02/08. The current cameras are analogue and the speed for enforcement is set at 93mph. However the system is changing to Digital and the Commissioner as directed the company to set the cameras at ACPO guidelines, this will be 80mph.

I suggest that any incident you attend and have to use the M25 you put a marker in your PNB with the Icad number as this will no doubt create more work for the Inspector and Sgts to investigate speed complaints and the Icad number will assist us with regards to police purpose. If the incident is not police purpose then YOU will be liable for the offence of Speeding.

Full details of when the system goes live Digitally will be circulated once Traffic Management have the details

Definately rubbish......

......the cameras are only active when a lower restriction than 70mph is in force under the variable speed limit system that's been in place for years.

Presently, when the signs are off and the normal 70 limit applies, the cameras are off too. They are NOT "presently set at 93mph" as stated above.

I know this for a fact; from personal experience.............

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

This has been posted on just about every car forum out there.

I travel along the M25 from J17 to 10 quite regularly and generally at 95-100 (when there's no traffic of course) and have never got a ticket! Phew lucky me. Only when they impose the restrictions i.e. when doing road works, do I slow down.

over 80 on the motorway and i think your asking for trouble anyway!!! i try and stick to 80 its just so difficult as the Z's only just getting going at that speed!
