turbo in a n/a whats interchangable

hi, im sure this question has been asked and answered a million times but i cant find it anywhere lol. my n/a is in the garage stripped down to the block due to no. 5 big end knackered, Im wondering if to send it in for regrind and sizing or to buy another engine and drop it straight in, by the time all new parts and gaskets have been bought i dont think the price difference will be that much. My question is can i buy a twin turbo engine and drop it in the n/a changing the manifolds as nessercery or is there too much of a difference between the two. there are a lot more twins around than n/a. cant seem to find one at a decent price lol.

many thankx for any help,

matt

are you looking to keep it as an NA, even if you use a TT engine ? (I think so, from what you said)...The TT is a lower compression engine to handle the boost, it will be way down on power as an NA compared to the regular NA engine.

yes, you were correct my idea was to keep it n/a as i think it will be too much to make it turbo especially as its auto, i will get it back on the road and then i think i will treat myself to a turbo when its sold lol.

i guess i will just keep loo0king for a n/a engine until i get fed up and just take it in for regrind.

cheers.
