I need a new exhaust as mine has 2 huge holes before the back boxes.

I'm having the same rear end kit as K4SH and after looking at his exhaust with the 6 inch pipes I'm thinking of doing the same.

I looked under his car and couldn't see any back boxes?!? Anyone know if this is right?

I also want to remove the cats. Has anyone got a straight through pipe from in front of the cats right back with no silencers?

With the holes in mine it effectively doesn't have them anyway so I don't think it would be too much louder?

Should be very cheap too if it's just a piece of piep with a 6 inch trim welded on.

Any ideas?

Yeah, IIRC K4SH has 3 1/2" pipe from the front right to the back with 6" tips, no cats, backboxes, nothing

 

I was expecting it to be super loud, but when he fired it up it was surprisingly mellow on idle. I suppose it gets a bit more lively when its being thrashed

beware of having no boxes whatsoever ure asking for trouble come mot time and a little back pressure is always a good thing

You may not think that Cash's car was loud, but on Saturday I was behind him on the M1 when he was using the turbos and booting it, it, was very loud even a good few hundred yards away with the windows shut.

Nicos is BLOODY loud!!!

 

Stand behind his car on tickover and not only does it sound like a big V8 but it re-arranges your internal organs!

I've already lost the middle boxes and it didn't really make any difference.

 

The back boxes are being reworked this week - I've asked for something almost straight-through and I'm keeping the cats cos I cant be arsed with messing about at MOT time (soon).

 

I had a quick blast last night without the back-boxes on and it sounded wicked - although the neighbours all hate me now!!!!

 

 

Got straight thru cat back until Apexi rear boxes. Sounds good if a little louder than ideal. It was tried with the cats out but apparently you could not hear youself think in that case. Can see them in me ride page.

Probably the biggest sound deadeners are the turbos!
