Ever since I first got the Slicktop it has lived in one of the Workshops at SWZ Performance. Paul@SWZ kindly allowed me to work on her there with access to all the power tools, ramps.......and advice I needed.

Yesterday I decided to bring her home for the first time. Still has work outstanding before its on the road but this way I get to tinker away in my garage without having to travel up to SWZ each time.

Decided to give her a quick wash, 9 months of Dust and grime was not pretty. I've lived in my current house for about 7 months now, and In all this time I've only ever said hello in passing to the neighbours in our street....But within 10mins of Pulling the Zed out of the garage I had 3 differnent neighbours crowding around asking all sorts of questions and handing out complements, and even got invited down the Local pub with them.........one of the great joys of Zed ownership

Some pic whoring.....

If I was to start again...it has been thought about. Bayside blue would be the colour of choice. Can't afford a colour change and to be honest, I'd probably start from a shed and rebuild everything. Good with with getting it finished.

I love the colour change from Light to dark it has on it. Its hard to catch on Camera...and interstingly my Camera phone pics (above) can catch it better in some ways than my expensive DSLR camera :slap:

Although currently Im not 100% sure she is definatly Bayside blue.

Previous owner told me it was 350z Daytona blue, but thats a much darker shade, and it looked a lot more like Bayside. But I had some Bayside blue paint mixed up and it was a lighter shade without as much of a colour change in it....but then it was mixed by a monkey at Halfords. I will know for definate when she goes to the bodyshop.

Ride height is concerning me, the weight reductions really show, Still has gearbox and exhausts to be fitted, but they are not going to lower the hieght much.

Might have to get Coilovers sooner than I thought

Looking good! Good (and bad) thing about having it at home is you can work on it late into the night. What work is left to do? Be nice to have another slicktop at the meets.

Thanks. The Majority of the work to to get her back on the road is done, main things now are purchase and fitting of Clutch and flywheel and front bumper....then of too Bodyshop..and MoT.

Plus a few other minor bits and pieces.

Its been a long time since I've had my own Zed to drive, I feel quite desperate to get her going.

Progress has been relatively slow since I got her because of lack of time....but I've recently lost my job so now I have the time and not the money :slap:
