Anyone doing anything wild and wonderful? We're just going out to a funky underground Lebanese restaurant. Were going to get out of the country for a few days, but decided against that.

A friend of ours passed away last week and the funeral is on the 15th, so that kinda puts a dampener on all the romance :(

Lets face it Valentines day is commercialised tripe, like christmas (so im suprised your bothering Si lol)

 

the food becomes overpriced and of an inferior quality and the service suffers becuase its too busy, i shant be purchasing any fluffy hearts or cheesy cards as i dont beleive in being ripped off by the corporate giants.

Taking the GF to Paris for 4days and pre-booked a meal on the Top Restaurant on the Effiel Tower! Due to work its on the 15th though not 14th :( But still same celebration ay :)

Hmm... can't do anything special this year, but.. maybe next year ;) In which case it'd have to be a weekend away somewhere special - but not the usual (Paris) - somewhere a bit different.

Nothing wrong with it at all, it's a beautiful place and well worth visiting - I just think it'd be too crowded and commercialised at Valentines day because that's where you're 'supposed' to go ;)
