Hi, I have been looking through the old threads and i have found a similiar query to this except for a couple of bits which makes me think it might be something else.

The A/C has never worked well in the 3 years i have had the car, but recently it has started to leak into the footwells and when the tempreture is turned up smoke appears in the car. It does however stop again when turned down but there does seem to be a constant leaking into both footwells.

If anyone could provide some assistence as to any causes for this or what work i might need doing and its likely cost, i would be grateful.

Cheers

Defo the heater matrix, its not smoke it steam, :slap: turning the heater off will reduce the leak (but wont stop it.) A quick fix is to bypass the heater by cross connecting the heater pipes at the back of the engine (not easy to get to.) Heater Matrix replacement is the only way to stop the leak and have heat in the car. HTH

Pete.
