Hi all

Want to replace my coilpacks, thinking of the driftworks remote coilpack kit or the splitfire coil packs, any one using the splitfires?

Featured Replies

As Ignition coilpacks do wear out, it's always a good idea to replace them, either by using new stock units or the splitfire units.

The splitfires packs are cheaper then stock units (last time I checked), although you can also order just the coil part from Nissan.

Hi Ronnie,

Splitfires will cost you around £295 and are made in small batches. This means it can take up to two months to be delivered (last set I ordered for a customer took 1.5 months to arrive from Japan). Other than that they are a tried and tested alternative to OEM coilpacks and I have not heard anything bad about them.

I can get these from the official UK distributors but the price is a bit of a joke - would work out about £350+vat!! That's with around a 5% markup! RRP is £475+vat (!!!) They have stock if you're in desperate need. If anyone else is interested I might be able to import some at a MUCH better price...

Part number is DIS-009 if you want to shop around...

Cheers

My word that's cheap ;-)

Think they may have made a b**b as the VG30DETT set is much more expensive than the Skyline sets...I'd take advantage of their 'kind offer' if I was you ;-)

Ciao
