Sarah, why are you getting your knickers in a twist? I am sure that comment is aimed at me. I asked why someone chose that spoiler as I've never seen it before. On a side line, you're a quick one for making comments too.

FTR, I like Syko's car.

I guess its because you're always the first one to criticise and jump in with some shitty comments about someone elses taste  It gets a bit boring after a while tbh...............

Yes, but I haven't done it. I am merely asking a question.

Which just goes to show, there really IS a first time for everything ;)

 cheers SI,, for you to say u like my car I must be honoured lol as I know from ur posts before ur not too keen on the veilside kit :nana2: ;)

and no am not takin the piss!

I've seen it from the 3/4 rear shot before and I do like it. It's the Veilside fronts that I've just never been able to work out. Not sure if yours has one, but from the rear 3/4 shot it looks clean and slick.

:D ;) yeah its got the full veilside c2 kit the genuine one which was er hm copied hence a few more similar ones around, as i was the first one to bring it in to the uk as far as i know lol,

rich. gave them a ring today. they wont laquer them as it makes them look dull, plus they are highly polished so the laquer wont adhere to it.

not at moment as they were on my other mobile till it fooked up lol, and now it looks dusty, but ill take some and post em up soon when i've cleaned it lol after spraying,

another job, to as i've got to pull dash to do that sodding heater matrix ffs but first gonna put car back together from painting, as ther will be too many bits scattered lmfao

Mario, do NOT get polished wheels lacquered. Causes more problems. Keep them clean and polished regularly and you'll only notice very slight dulling. I used a fantastic product for keeping shine on my rims and that's 'Brilliant' polish. When I'm using my car I'll polish my rims once a month with Autosol which is quite abrasive, but then I use the Brilliant polish to remove the very fine swirls and buff up to a really deep shine.

ive no intention of laquering mine at all. ive seen them with it on and it tends to send them white and discoloured/patchy.

Indeed. As you've said, you'd need to key the metal to get the paint to bond to it. By spraying it on to a polished surface, you'll have a very think layer underneath where water/condensation can leach in between the two materials. You get that spider webbing effect, the rims then corrode, the lacquer flakes off and it looks a right bloody mess.

You can get various chemicals to seal the polished metal. I think you can get a product called 'Metal Mate' which is a weather resistant fluid you can wipe into the metal giving it protection from the elements.

when i had polished rims that needed solvol auto sol to bring emup, but for poor weather to protect em i sprayed wd40 on em it coated em and protected em also cleaned off easy

I always go at the rims with Brilliant afterwards. Find autosol a bit too abrasive on alloy to leave it at just that. I always top up with Brilliant. Makes for a nice finish. Good stuff and I recommend it.

who sell its as i could use it on mi plenum as well

hey SI an old picture of my seats not good picture though

this was the seller who i got mine from. iirc, its a very thin watery like green fluid. pea soup comes to mind. lol

Have you used it yet? It's better on bare alloy than it is on stainless. Stainless needs autosol as it's a harder metal.
