I work as an architect in a property developers in Chelsea (welcome to nose http://www.abnassetti.com ) but my DREAM job would be to work with cars (suprise for an owners club forum post!!). Im not talking working my arse off as a mechanic all day but having a performance and styling garage where i'd employ people to work on cars and bring in the cash os i could wonder around the garage and tinker with my own car all day..

 

What would you do as a job to make you happy????? (not talking about money either!!! )

I'm thinking.. shelf stacker in Sainsbury - except a really, ridiculously well paid one ;) - no stress, enough money to live, and plenty of time outside work.

I started flying lessons many years ago but sadly packed it in before qualifying for a PPL but would love to be a pilot. If you think driving a Zed is exciting, give flying a go, it is superb, no traffic jams, no traffic lights and no speed cameras, but of course there are other hazards which can end in death. No different from a Zed then.

have you ever gone to a mates house where they have like 100 different games and you dont know which one to play because you know you will devote yourself to it, you will have to play till the end, you end up sleeping there for a week. And at the end you havent acheived anything at all!!!! but beat a game.

could be fun tho.

i also have had a dream to become an airline pilot about 8 years ago and had the funds to start a dream (£31,000) and build hours on the boeing 737 in the usa but i bought 5 flats instead as a get richer scheme,sold the flats after getting a little richer and like a fool put all my funds into my present home and settle down this side of the pond again :rolleyes: with plans of going back in 2010 but unfortantly age has caught up and being a pilot has gone through my fingers so ile have to keep my roofing buisness going here and when i go back just be a full time pot grower and general bum :rofl:

I,ll second that , don,t get me wrong it does have its percs especially with your own car but in general there a PITA , as you can tell after 26 years working on them the novelty,s well and truly worn off !!! :D

north cali glen (mendocino county) hot summer,cold winter and its snowing there as we speak :hyper: i dont like florida with it being sub-tropical as the humidity is a biitch and theres to many trailer parks full of potential meth heads and the like (thems hot sticky nights can send a man crazy :rofl: ).

my american experience has not gone without hic-ups and sadness along the way with my first relatanship coming to an abrupt end due to her commiting suicide but i stuck it out and married a great girl over there and just in the middle of getting the daughter through primary school here for a couple more years then i think its time to get back on track over there as my wifes mother has 4 acres up in the hills so proberly go and do summit with that bit of "dirt" ;)

 

 

ps :had a friend who emigrated to florida with his wife earning 100k (USD) in a hospital but came back after 6 months due to 2 daytime house break-ins while they were at home by drug induced 300llb afro-americans with guns and this lad has worked the doors most of his adult life but was,nt ready for that shiiit :rofl:
