poss belt slipping????

Ok I will check the belt out Cheers mate

Auto or manual?

Speed sensor wires on autos sometimes burn on the exhaust, a bit of water in a bare wire could cause the light to come on i guess, worth a look.

I have had exactly the same prob in my auto TT more than once! not sure why? only does it on long journeys sometimes and usually raining! all I do is pull over switch engine off then fire it strait back up.. Light gone, steering fine! job done!

Manual

Red Zed, sorry to hijack but my light is on as well. There is plenty of fluid in the resevoir, and the steering is fine. Checked mine out using Datascan and got the all clear of code 55. Is it possible for the warning light to come on if the resevoir is overfilled?

Mark

No it just comes on when the switch in the pod earths as it floats lower on the lack of fluid

i think it comes on breifly when the hicas is in use

not sure if there is an ecu error for hicas failure?
