At last my Front mount intercooler has arrived, only took 8 weeks as i took the cheaper postage option. :headvswal Well all in all doesn't look too bad. Some of the casting could do with a bit more work but nothing my Dremmrel and a spare hour can't sort out.All in all quite pleased especially for the amount of kit for cash compared with the real deal.

Please post your thoughts, even the "you get what you pay for" brigade LOL. :D

Have fitted a couple of them ebay kits.

My only advice would be to replace the Jubille clamps with better quality versions, they have a tendency to pop the hoses off otherwise.

Would this be the same as in the link below. Flat4 Online are based in Glasgow and I have bought a few bits n bobs from them. I quite fance on of these kits..........even though my car is basically standard, just for looks as i'm after a fancy front bumper. Link:

My advice would be to replace the crap foam filters with a K&N moshrooms or get onto http://www.dpmotorsport.com and buy a pair of Somota mushrooms (none branded Apexi) as the ones that come with the kit are crap & will let course grit through and ware your bores out.

I have dealt with them before at Flat4 and they are sound.

My mate dave sells all the Apexi and Simota stuff. i wouldn't risk the ones that come with this kit. It just isn't worth it.

what does it weigh compared to the 2x originals?

I don't know what originals weigh but this one weighs 6 kg for the intercooler only.

Do you think that an hks or apexi filter would fit in above that front mount or do you have to use the twin filters in the kit.

I've just taken the sponge out of the meshing of the air filter and the only thing it's good for is washing the car.
