Hey Hey Z people

I know I dont pop by too often these days but I hope you guys can give me some advice.

I need a Pickup that will get the family in, I've been looking about and there are some lovely examples about but which one is right?

I suppose really fuel econemy is important as it is carrying the weekend hobby around the country.

I am at the moment leaning towards the Ranger but your guidance would be apprieciated.

Ta very much

Steve

I bought a brand new L200 Warrior in Jan 05 and it’s been 100% spot on. I don’t like the new shape at all so I will probably keep mine another year or so before I buy a replacement.

Try and stay with a Japanese model Nissan,Toyota,Mitsi etc as I have heard the Ranger is the worst of the bunch.

I was actually looking into getting one, asked my mechanic today and he said the same thing, stick with a Jap model, stay away from Ford if you can.

I suppose my Z is as good a reason as any to stick to Jap, any Idea what MPG I should expect from L200, Navaro etc?

Using Disco and trailer at the Mo but only get about 380 miles for 85/90 litters of deisel.

That's the one I'd pick as well.

In a Top Gear (or was it 5th gear?) comparison a couple of years ago it trounced the Mistubishi......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Navara gets my vote too. I looked at the all the new shape Ranger, Warrior and Navara's recently as a company car choice and loved the Navara.

Ayup' Steve!-long time no talk! :D

Got to agree with Macca,The Ranger IS crap!-Warrior all the way1(not the new shape tho'!) ;)

mate of mine has a L200 for work and he swears by it, also got another friend with a new nevaro and he says its the best car he's every had by far

Richard you are comparing the new shape nissan with the old shape mitsi my mate has a 03 navara and it dont compare to my mitsi and thats a fact! Its slower and not in the same class off road I know I have put them both to the test:D

If I was going for new shape it would be the toyota as god knows what the hell they were thinking when they designed the new mitsi  :nono:
