Last week i posted problems with me motor and the ecu would not go into diag mode, put in an ecu from jap import to find problem solved, but as i have uk manual needed to find out if it was just ecu or newly fitted chip gone tits up, so after seeing how the SE chip rocks with some of you guys i decided against my better judgment to ring em. I explain ecu is already chipped and i just need the chip it self so i can fit and check things out, "will call back in 5 mins" they say, "will ask Pete" let me know soon then so i can catch tonites post, over 2 hours later i call back, different bloke this time goes off and asks Pete,NO, gotta send ecu to them, okay i say can do by special delivery but now it's too late for tonites post will do tomorrow, i explain that as it's only a job that takes the same amount of time to smoke a fag, can they repost same day back as it's delivered, yep can do, so Wednesday afternoon i call to sak if ecu is there safely, "no we ain't got it"

strange i say on the royal mail website it was delivered at 10.30am this mornin, "oh that will be the one Pete is working on now "

so i again ask that it goes to post office by 4.30pm, no probs he says. So next day no Ecu, i call em up asking if ecu sent, " no mate it's still sat here in a box unopened" i explained what i was told the day before and it's a" Oh right that one, yeah it's done, we missed last nites post, as it's 5pm weve missed todays as well, cos we ain't boxed it up yet" NOT HAPPY !!!!!

Assuming it goes in post today, i won't have this now till Monday afternoon, a full 7 days for a job that costs over £200, the time it takes to have a quick fag and as ever the usual lies and getting messed around, which is why i stopped using them 3 years ago, some things never change !!!!!!!!! It was after putting thousands of pounds their way years ago and getting this treatment, i was ready to punch Pete's lights out, only me mate literally held be back at the time and now i go back for one little thing like this and get same treatment, SHITE...........

I sympathise with you totally, absolute wank in part and full, complete toss....It's amazing how we get treated like shit and then still go back for more punishment!!!!

S.E i was told by one bloke stood for Service and Excellence......HA!!!

Paul

Yeah thats a shit one Smithy, could have had a JWT remapped in less time in California.

Yer right guys, shame is, i stayed away for years and go back for one of the most simplest jobs with a BIG profit to them and they still have to lie and take the piss....

Borrow and copy one, tossers!

Baffles me why people go to them at all, I certainly never will.

This really is appauling. Being slow is one thing, but promising to do a job in a certain time, and then having your staff conditioned to lie about the progress is completely different. Why anyone would use a service like this is byond me.

Smithy, I sympathise with you, I was even thinking of going there a while back but had some sanity slapped back into me. You've just confirmed that I did the right thing staying away. Sorry to hear about your trouble.

So, whats to be done about this kind of company??

SE = Sorry Excuse

I imagine there is bugger all you can do about it, there will always be muppets that take there cars there then pay through the nose for their cars to be off the road for 6 months while they fuck about.

If there were anywhere else to take their cars then perhaps they would.

You're not wrong there mate. I guess its a captive audience. There are so few companies in this country that specialise in our cars, you're bound to be unfortunate enough to stumble across SE. We should all write to Nismo and beg them to open a garage in the UK biggrin.gif

Me thinks the SHIT HATH HIT THE FAN...... Wouldn't go there even if you paid me..never never never never never never never never never never never never never never.

Paul

Good Chips , took them weeks and weeks to sort out my car though, they are the slowest company around, they definitly need to sort out their customer service out!!

Andrew you make me laugh you are ready to join the slagging off of SE,when you have never ever used them,Yet what happened to you with another company, which is FAR WORSE than somthing delayed a few days in the post, you say FUCK ALL????WHY????

maxpower2.jpg

yeh, yeh, yeh.... SE customer service is crap - that's old news. HAVE U TRIED THE CHIP YET? That's what matters init?

And if I understand you right, they managed to turnaround the chip work within a few days, in addition to all their scheduled customers work. That sounds pretty good to me. They're not Mcdonalds. Perhaps they should have booked you in for 3 weeks time like a nissan dealer would..

Lots of us work in IT. Users with unscheduled requirements who want-it-now are usually politely forwarded to the project director who tells them the facts of life.(Cos a job takes 2 minutes to do doesn't mean it can be done straightaway.)

The bloke on the phone should have set your expectations a bit better, and organised his post runs better. It's a problem, but no reason to write SE off as a total loss.

HAVE U TRIED THE CHIP YET?

£200? mmmm - how much is a JWT chip again?

(boy, i hope Pete gives me a big discount next time i see him)

Peace and love bruvvers.

Yes, I've never used SE, I admit, but thank f**k for that. Look at how they treat people. They are not the cheapest and so I would expect good customer service as well as good products.

Yes, what happened with to me with another company was far worse, but I decided not to bring it into the public form for my own reasons, which are none of anyone elses business. This thread was already in the public forum and being discussed, so I joined in.

How on earth can you come on here and not actually agree that what has just happened to a fellow forum member isn't completey cr*p?? Its not a football team mate, you dont need to stay loyal to your death ffs.

When they won't sell a chip on its own and insist on removal of the ECU, I'd say it was pretty important to get the ECU back to the customer ASAP.

Smithy had to take his car off the road until they got the ECU back to him. Not bothering to post it back to him when they said they would is unacceptable IMHO.

Why won't they just send the chip out BTW?

You can say what you want I have spent £Ks and not had a problem,so what do you want me to say FFS?I have noticed The man starting this thread has called them worse than shit on this forum,So can you blame them for not giving him 100% NO.I remember him posting a statment I THINK THAT SE SHOULD NEVER BE MENTIONED ON THIS FORUM AGAIN.Yea you joined in the slagging when you never had a problem, and Nico had to edit it FFS,I think you should take your anger out on garages that have fucked you over IMHO.

Thanks guys for the support, the basic facts are though,1) there was no need to send an ecu already socketed.2) the time taken to do the chip is minutes. 3)Pete knew it was me getting this done, i who have had nothing but customer service problems in the past and since stayed away, so now the perfect chance for SE to show they have changed and make amends 4) his staff clearly lied when i was told job done and going in post. 5) have just rang them now and now no one knows what's happened to my ecu !!!!!

6) yes i stated that this company shouldn't be mentioned anymore due to all the fuss it cause's, but then i had no intention of ever using them again and have just learned the hard way i shouldn't have, certainly if the chip proves to be good i will say so, but customer care is paramount along with the products and services offered, simply, you can have the best and the most wanted products in the world, but if you fook up the customer handling side of things , you'll never sell it.........

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Are you telling me that a "professional" company is actually entitled to bear a grudge against a paying customer because of what they have posted on an internet forum and actually give (extra) bad service?? You've been smoking something m8. A paying customer is a paying customer. All customers are entitled to good service.

Andy

Hey Smithy, not having a pop at you with this, but if I slated off Cybercraft on this forum, and said never mention them again etc etc, would you continue to supply me with your products? Maybee your ECU has been flushed down the shitter LOL wink.gifWhat does piss me off is the stupid fuckwits that never use them and join in like a flock of sheep,Then its left to Craig and Nico with all the legal shit mad.gifIt even says on the forum before you post make sure you have facts.

I have spent ££££££££££s with Cybercraft and found them to be the most efficent wink.gif

PS Andy have you been taking somthing, not like you to be this vocal when you never had a problem with them?

------------------

maxpower2.jpg

yo Smithy ask them for a discount for taking so long as a gesture of goodwill!, they gave me a discount with all the delays they gave me.

But Ian, everything I posted here has been facts (and complies with the forum rules), I have not said SE have done anything to me, I have merely commented and sympathised with a fellow forum member. I have also stated an opinion that, based on peoples experiences here, I will not risk going to them.

I am very glad that you have had no problems with them, I would not wish bad things to happen to anyones car (apart from maybe David Coulthards on Sunday wink.gif). I really dont think you should take this as a personal attack, and I am sorry if the "smoking drugs" comment caused you that much offense (which is obvious from your reply and MSN conversation with me); it was meant as a joke and I did not mean to imply that you are a habitual drug taker. I already appologised in the MSN conversation with you but here it is for the public since you still seem to be a little agitated.

As for being more vocal, its Friday and I'm wanting to get out of work and into the pub. This passes the time nicely. I think you could do with a drink to (not meaning to infer you are an alcoholic, just in case you get the arse again).
