Its time for that big service for my Z. From what I can find this involves...

Spark Plugs - what type do I get fitted (Std/Hot/Cold)? Im running stock +Induction +Cat Back Exhaust.

Fuel Filter - easy enough.

Oil & Filter - again, nothing new here.

From the list of 'front end of engine' bits....

Timing Belt

Auto-Tensioner

Thermostat

Water Outlet Hoses (x2)

Water Pump

Water Pump Gasket

Alternator Belt

A/C Belt

Power Steering Belt

Cam Seals (x4)

Main Seal

Intake Cam Sprocket O-rings (x2)

Intake Cam Sprocket Springs (x2)

Main Crank Sprocket

Crank Rear Spacer

I assume all this IS neccessay. Advice/comments anyone? Any stuff not woth doing? Any stuff that should also be done?

Also, inspection of

Fuel lines

Brake lines & cambles

Brake pads & rotors

Transmission fluid & differential gear oil

Steering gear & linkage, axle & suspension parts

Steering linkage ball joints & front suspension ball joints

Super HICAS linkage on turbo models

Exhaust system

Again, anything from anyone elses experience that should/could be done at this expensive and worrying time?

Just looking for your input/experiences with this guys incase theres anyhting Ive missed or should look out for.

Mark, I think you've got the most important ones on your list.

While you're at it, you might as well replace the PCV-valves + hoses, clean throttle bodies and do a ECU-check or have a consult-check done by a Nissan-dealer to find out if anything invisible (like a sensor/connector) needs to be fixed

In any case you can check/clean all important connectors (injectors/temp.sensor, etc)

I'm running std. plugs on my TT at the moment and I have about the same setup as your car, so I guess it's save to go for the stock plugs again (unless you're planning to increase boost and stuff)

Mark,

Check out the Tech sections of

http://www.zhome.com

as well as http://www.ttzd.com

They both have pretty good write ups on the 60K service and what to look out for.

Good luck with your service, I will just be fitting new sparks at the weekend as long as the sun comes out.

I will be fitting the standard sparks recommended by Nissan as my car is pretty stock. Haven't bought them yet there a tad pricey about 10-12 squid each. (the Z centre has them on special offer though so I may buy from them)

Z YA.
