as far as I know

still running rich at 16psi with no signs of dett etc

so its not for lack of fuel, its the intake temps

70c at high rpm

id have thought you were running larger injectors if you were still rich at 16psi. maybe youre just losing power through it being too rich

nope, its the intake temps that is causing the power loss at the top end

torque is up at 400lbft so its fine until the top

70c when they should be more like 40c - 50c

Agreed

1/4 mile

Top speed

Around a race track

There are cars on here that I have no doubt would kill others in a drag race...but would get eaten alive around a circuit.

There are some well known capable examples :

Mac 1

CJ

Machine's Pentroof

Paulzx old red slicktop (where did it go?)

Markzx

Jaffa

Boomin32

Bebuche

ChrisC

And there are quite a few in the pipeline..... Slick pete, Mine, Jaffaz32, John Dixon, Dev8uk

(apologies if I missed anyone out...just what i could remember of top of my head)

I think you missed mine off your list :D

Membership No 0780

INSURANCE GOOFA

Datascan, Conzult, ECUTalk and a few others

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

should be interesting to see what you run when you get the cooling gear in. where do you have yours dyno'd? Thor?

Noble motorsports

Not getting any more cooling and only real way they rekon would be a large fmic which I dont want!

Greddy side mounts would be better than the ebay ones I have but £££.

I had a long discussion about the heat causing any damage etc and they say its perfectly safe to run but running more boost wouldnt really up the hp any more due to the heat as the air is not dense enough.

Might be better on the road with a proper air flow through them.

A/F slightly rich but thats normal.

Did 3 runs to the limit at 16.7psi listening for dett and watching the a/f

All clear, so we turned it down to 16 and did a power run at that.

369hp, lots of torque tho which is what makes the real difference.

And it drives proper sweet :)

A FMIC is not the answer.....larger SMIC's would be. Those ebay intercoolers, while larger than stock are still less than half the size of other SMIC options.

However I also suspect that if the Dyno only has one large Front cooling fan then its not going to cool a SMIC setup correctly, so the I/C are probably more efficient than you think and intake temps would be lower on the road.

depends on how you measure fastest dont it?

i mean in power and 1/4 mile i guess.

Just curious who the fastest/most powerful members were and what bhp they were running.

wasnt CJs 600+ at the flywheel?

im picking mine up tonight after running in pt. 1, should be around 450 at the fly when shes ready to go properly.

600 at the flywheel, wooo... that's powerful.

What about water injection to help keep the tempretures down? or uprating the fan or something? ok ignore me lol. i make it up as i go along :D

Yeah you could construct a freezer around the bonnet or an ice machine inside the head? ooorrrrrr put magic dust in the intercooler.

just playing dude,, god im so bored.

Lol they did say water injection might be an option

must have been making 400 driving home in the rain then!
