Just thought I would post my list of what I am going to buy and replace on my engine when it comes out this winter and see if I could get some opinions...

 

- Engine rebuild kit from Z1 or Czp. (around $1400)

- 120K Timingbelt kit

- GT600R turbo

- Venom 550CC (bought. Going to test them)

- Z1 SMIC intercooler

- EGR removal kit

- Doolz with apexi

- OEM wiring harness

- 2,5" test and downpipes

- complete PVC set

- and a new chip of course...

- new OEM motor mount

- Z1 oil cooler

- A new clutch (ideas. Would like it to be as close to oem feeling as possible)

 

And of course remove the CC,AIV,EGR and so on..

 

Think that was it.. What do you think??

mate with thoes tubs your gona need to chat to smithy, seriously.

Your looking at the RPS Max Street TT clutch - smithy/dta supplies.

 

Make sure you get the Venoms flowtested and fit new oem o-rings.

 

Speak to John Dixon about a chip, but with that setup your best bet is to get him to produce a running in map, then book a session with him and a rolling road to map it properly.

 

I would also consider lightweight Crank pulley, Lightweight flywheel, Lightweight one piece prop.

 

I would seriously look into getting your Suspension and Brakes uprated either at same time as, or before you go for the power upgrade.

The venom is going to flowtested. Why new oem o-rings??

 

About chiping.. would love to take the trip and have John Dixon to the setup.. But wouldn't I need a new chip first?? Can't drive on the old one with new 555cc and doolz.

 

I have considered some of the lightweight stuff, but it will have to be another time.. But think I will go for a lightweight flywheel to the clutch. Is the RPS Max street clutch a lot heavier than the OEM?

 

Suspesion and brakes is going to be upgraded, but one thing at the time (Drive safe = no problem) Engine has to come out. Rather to the power upgrade now rather then take the engine out again later..
