What happens if your car's on 18s and you get a puncture and have to fit that space saving spare?

Surely it's smaller (diameter) than the other wheels. Does this cause a problem?

Its only for short journeys anyway. Won't cause any problems in the short term. The overall diameter of the 18s should be very close to the originals anyway. The only time the space saver becomes a problem is with uprated brakes....

Agreed!

Your space saver has a large profile tyre on and your 18's have a low profile one, so all in all they should actually be the same size, obviously give or take a little bit.

No need I can assure you it will not fit over your front brakes now. You can get a space saver from a R33 or R34, but must be GTR models as they are 17's and will clear your brakes. Same goes for the Mk IV Supra and the Mitsubishi GTO space savers. Same PDC and will clear your brake kit.

I carry a bottle of slime and a compressor.

If its on the rear and is a different rolling radius then your diff will be working overtime, but as said its only a get you home wheel.
