thoughts?????? yea you jammy bast##d

Which Celica?

I always liked the gen 6 GT's but they were a bit gready. The Gen 7 as in the same body shell as the TRD in my sig pic are good handling and really frugal. Even the high reving 230 BHP TDR would still do 42 per gallon driven steady.

Never driven a nx100.

yes that was my thoughts when the wife told me she had ordered the wheels for me and the laguna estate is getting to the stage where things are going to start going wrong so she wants a celica or an nx.What can I say?

thanks for the info

the 100nx are a nice little motor (baby z lol). would be cheaper on insurance & running costs compared to the celica, just something else to think about

yes I am arent I the thing is that whilst the family were young I used to be into custom cars and built a few and owned more but whenever a bill came in that we couldnt afford the car had to go .Now that the lads 23 and the daughters 21 we have been lucky enough to have a little spare cash each month and so when we bought the zed its the car that wont be sold for any other reason than we get bored with it (something that I very much doubt will happen).Ann loves the look of the car and the wheels on it look fine but are getting a little long in the tooth and are 17s .Ive always wanted 18s on it and so on xmas day she said we would spend some money on the new wheels not mega expensive but still pricey enough and proceeded to look at wheels on the net that she liked.

shes a little too timid to drive the zed but loves to go to our caravan in cornwall in it with me driving and the people we meet down there are a nice friendly bunch and she particularily likes it that it is still a car that turns heads wherever you go and are not ten a penny

drove a nx for a few years and thought they are great little cars. Modded mine a bit and went well, with decent economy to boot.

thanks for that

the nx has the same engine as my old primera (1.6) before i put the pulsar lump in it, i done a transplant into a micra with the 1.6 and it had 165k on it and its still going 4 years later.

so buy the 100nx and put a pulsar lump in - the Mrs will hate you for it, because you will be screaming round in it all the time!

What are the wheels, where did you get them?

They are stunning. 18" or 19"?

they are 18s. 8 1/2 front with 235 35s and 9 1/2 rear with 265 30s they are available in 19s but I thought that they might be more difficult to fit

Let me know how you get on with the tyres, I reallly need a set of 18"s and yours look the biz, just worries me about the tyres these packages offer.

could you drop me a pm when you have racked up a few miles on them and know how they perform in the wet/dry?
