does anyone no how much a mines ecu is second hand and are they any good ,are they fully mapable thanks

no they are not mappable at all. Bag of dry roasted should cover the cost lol :rofl:

so would you recommend a mines if you had the chioce ,how much extra bhp would you see from mines plug ang play,, my car is already chipped but no boost controler and is still limited how can i find out what chip is in it ,,big ell

Just crank open the ecu and see whats written on the chip if you wanna find out what it is...

 

Most decent companys will put there name on it, others will just put stg 1, stg 2 etc

ok cool. is the ecu the one on the top because theres something else underneath it

You will need a boost controller or boost jets in order to up the boost on your zed. A remapped ecu will increase the fuelling to suit your mods. iirc a Mines ecu is pre mapped for raised boost to about 14psi plus induction and exhaust mods and maybe ic`s as well.

 

They usually remove the limiter as well.

He said he thinks his zx is chipped already but doesnt know for sure or what it is....

 

 

I was just sayin just flip open the ecu and it should have writing on the chip if it is an aftermarket one ;)

tbh it will more than likely just look like any other chip, but if it has been chipped it should be socketed, if it isnt and the soldering looks normal (ie it hasnt been removed and replaced/bodged) then it will just be a standard one that is in there.

its definatly been chipped was at zedworld last week having service and stuff ,plugged in the laptop shows in there that the fuelins been changed amongst other things but still has its 190 kmh
