Hi Lee

Yes, the accusations are flying about no protection for her...

And yes, sad day for her family and for democracy....

Tony

Why cant they kill someone who needs to be killed..... mugabe

Just seen it.Terrible news R.I.P. Benazir. I was only looking at her on the news the other day and thought they would kill her.

I don't think Musharaf had a hand in it, he's been a good PM for Pakistan. IMO after the first attempt Bhutto should have just let it lie, she has been the Pakistan PM twice and there was nothing left for her to prove. I think she massively underestimated how dangerous some people in Pakistan now are, and has paid the ultimate price... My friend is going to Pakistan this evening, he was not happy to have to go at this time with his family!! I think it will be mayhem for quite some time now...

A mess. I'm glad I was in Pakistan 3 years ago. I don't think I'd like to be there now. Things are very tense over there now.

I agree with Lee. Musharaf has been good with Pakistan as far as international relations has gone. Unsure as to just how opinion polls within would fare though.

stupid things like this are how wars start, and they are not good for anyone.

Quite right, Musharaf is the first PM from Pakistan to carry himself well in the West, it sounds silly but he looks and acts like a PM should do... he's managed to get a lot more money into Pakistan etc, etc, It's like Blair and Brown, Blair with all his faults had that special something that Brown just doesn't have!!

Good old Bush "the perpetrators will be brought to justice" - does he understad exactly what a suicide bomber is??? Yes I know she was shot but the assasinator then blew themselves up...

Very very sad day but unfortunately as has been said its been on the cards...

RIP

The country was doing well for itself when musharaf was in charge and would do so if people let him do his job...

If it aint broke then why fix it....Benazir did nothing but add more chilli to the pot
