Hi Guys,i replied to a very serious accusation against the Z Centre on a thread on the forum which was 8 pages long on christmas eve and has now been removed.

I used ceejays membership for the replay as i was unaware i was still a registered member of the forum.

There must have been a glitch with the forum website because soon after I posted my reply even though the accusation had been running for 8 pages the thread is no more.

Out of fairness to the accused I have added my reply below so members have sufficient time to read my reply.

Hopefully there won't be more glitches with the forum website.

Regards Luke Borg

Z Centre.

Hi guys,I thought i would let this thread get very long before i replied so all the new members of the forum were aware of my website.

The twinz contacted every trader they could think of on the forum and also off the forum to be a uk distributor but without success.

Out of desperation they emailed me on the 16th Oct 2006 to see if i wanted to be a uk distributor even though they had slagged me off on the forum saying my viper front bumper on my car is the same as their photoshop picture.

I replied as I new there were lots of you guys on the forum wanting this bumper and i have attached this email and the replies at the end of this message.

As you can see they wanted a ridiculous amount of money ($3700 dollars) for one bumper and one set of moulds and they also wanted $200 dollars for every bumper sold after the first 15.

I did not reply to this as it was a total unrealistic business proposition and that’s why they had been turned down by all the other forum/non forum traders.

Let’s move forward nearly 1 year and I was contacted by someone in the uk who had bought a twinz bumper via the usa.

He showed me the twinz bumper he bought via the USA and because the quality was absolutely shite he had a new mould made with some changes and the quality is now excellent. He offered to supply to me these top quality bumpers if I wanted to sell them on my website. As I can supply the lights for the bumper and the quality is excellent and I knew it would be popular item on the forum, so I agreed.

He also supplied me the picture of the white car which I have now removed from my website because I noticed some z owners on the thread were getting so upset I didn't want them to start crying.

I did NOT buy (or through a third party) a twinz bumper from them or from the USA or from anywhere else in the world. I am selling these Cobra bumpers on my website as they are supplied to me.

There are other traders/individuals who supply me their body styling parts as well that are also on my website ( for example cobra wide rear arches, vapour body kit etc).

If the parts are of a good quality and at a good price I would be stupid to say no.

I am just glad that I and none of the other traders sent $3700 dollars to Peru for a load of old shite.

The twinz never contacted me when the cobra bumper went on my website on the 6th Dec 2007 but instead started a thread on the forum slagging me off (even though I believe they are not forum members and I am not a forum member).

The forum moderators should have lifted this thread or at least until they had contacted the Z Centre to hear the other side of the story but instead joined in with slagging. This forum should be run in a professional manner like the Z Club where I am a trader.

I have been a Z Specialist for 25 years and many of MY parts (my designs) have been copied and sold on many eBays and in many other countries but I don't go crying on some overseas forum because I live in the real world and know nothing can be done about it.

As there are more important things in this world other than a 300zx front bumper and it is the time for goodwill to all men (even viniboy) I will say merry Christmas and a prosperous new year to all z owners.

Regards Luke.

Hello Luke,

You are right about the amateur traders, that make us a little worried, since we are looking for a sole distributor in Europe of the fascias and future products we are developing right now (the current front fascia and a new concept rear bumper).

We got the costs of the fascias and freight to UK, but it's too expensive due to the freight and taxes for all the fascias and the trip to UK takes 45 days to arrive to the port.

Since we know you have experience in the production of bumpers in fiberglass material, we want to propose you to take care of the production and sales of our products. We'll be sending you a demo fascia and nose panel with their respectives main molds (the bumper includes the nose panel as a kit, since it's different from stock), so you can offer a better price and attend faster to the customers.

If we are going to do this, we'll have to make a legally binding contract, where it mentions that we are sending a kit (front bumper and nose panel) and the matriz (molds of bumper and nose panel), and you'll have to make an initial payment of US$3700, which includes the product delivered by air (5-7 days to ship) to the airport closer to your location and the 15 first fascias sold. Then, from the 16th sell to up, you'll have to make a deposit into our account of US$200 for each.

We already estimated that the first 15 sells are going to be on an initial group buy on 300zx.co.uk forum. We also estimate around 40 sales considering orders from other countries in Europe (we had 9 orders from Germany, 3 from Australia, and a few others from Hungary, Italy, Spain and others…We couldn't do this sales back in the day and we haven't advertise them on those countries yet, so they were some random customers)...If we start making publicity of the products in other countries, this could be a mayor project with a considerable profit for both.

We can negociate the intial payment, depending on the interested buyers you could get on a group buy ad posted on 300zx.co.uk forum. This could affect the intial payment for a bigger or lower amount.

If you need info about us, you could contact Charles Park of PowerTrix.com that is our sole distributor in the U.S. to his email address: cpark@powertrix.com

Let us know if you are interested in working with us.

Best regards,

Efrain & Victor Tisoc

Hi,yes i would be interested in SOLE distributor for uk and europe. How do you propose we do this?

Await details including cost and shipping costs.

If i am the sole distibutor for uk and europe then ALL sales for your bumper including all sales from 300zx.co.uk are to be processed through me.There are too many amature traders on 300zx .co.uk who make a quick buck and then the company goes bust.

Hear from you soon.

Subject: TheTwinZ Fascia

Hello,

You must have heard about our front fascia. There are many interested buyers in the 300zx.co.uk forum and we've been trying to look for a distributor in Europe since we had many orders in different countries that we couldn't make the sales back in the day until this opportunity.

We have 5 interested distributor, but none of them is specialized on body parts and they are taking forever to see the way to start this and our buyers are getting tired of waiting, so we are still looking for a distributor. Please, let us know if you are interested in working with us.

Check the link for pics of our fascia...

http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1790752

You can get info about the fascia by asking on 300zx.co.uk...There are a lot of member waiting months to get the fascia.

Best regards,

Efrain & Victor Tisoc

Here here i'll drink to that :duffer:

I know other traders on here have looked into dealing with the Twinz, and have also said they wanted too much money as Luke stated, so maybe if the Twinz had'nt made it so difficult in the first place all this could of been avoided?

If your not happy with a deal, walk away from it. If the twinz could not strike a deal they and a re-seller was happy with, then the bumper should not have become avalible from a UK seller. Doesnt matter if the quality was rubbish, the item was too expensive. You just dont take an idea, copy it and then just sell it anyway. I really want a lamborghini, cant seem to strike a deal with the dealer as he wants to much money, so ill get somebody to nick it then sell to me at a price im happy with and everything will be rosie?

and what makes you think this isnt just a ploy to let people on here know that luke is nw supplying the twinz bumper for them

after all its getting a lot of publicity

and what makes you think this isnt just a ploy to let people on here know that luke is nw supplying the twinz bumper for them

But from what I have read he is not supplying the twinz Bumpers at all

But from what I have read he is not supplying the twinz Bumpers at all

thats what you read, doesnt mean thats not whats happening

theres also another way of looking at this which nobody has cottoned on to. how many of you go to your local car spares for parts such as : brake pads/shoes, track rod ends, anti roll bar bushes, water pumps, fan belt, alternator, god the list is endless. you not though that they are ALL COPIES OF ORIGINALS somewhere along the line, but you dont complain about that !!!. you dont turn round and say, im not buying it because its not a genuine part, your just glad you can get it cheaper than going to the dealers for it. i rest my case.

^ true

Thats true, however, i think what the twins were miffed about is how, someone in the UK had bought the bumper to pass on to the zcentre so he could make his own copy because he would not agree to their terms and then used their photo to promote it! Come on if you were them, you would be mad about that, i would be ****ing fuming!!

No one would say Luke is not a helpful guy, no one could. However i personally can kind of see where the Twins are coming from, if they are new designers fresh out of university it must be maddening, hopefully with experience they will inevitably learn from situations like this.

yes saz, i know where you are coming from, but from what is in lukes statement, he didnt copy it. he was offered one that looked like the twinz but not exactly the same.

well Luke should never have used their photo and has since taken it down due to comments made on the original thread, which was the correct thing to do

have a safe journey Luke , and a good peacefull New Year

steve

eitherway im 47 and can make up my own mind about people i deal with and have dealt with before in the past ,

what is written does not sway me either way i make my own decissions always have done always will

You also let the slagging which was directed to me go on for 8 pages.

I said, and a quote:

I COULDN'T GIVE A SHIT :smash:

Well Luke has told his side of the story and lets just make are on minds up and i guess all agree to disagree.

I personally feel Luke did not reply to this thread to advertise his company, he tried to answer the questions put forward and put the record straight!!

Please can some one close this, before it gets into one of this clubs [if you can call it that] famous, lets slag off every one and his dog threads and just get on!!!!!!!!!!

Happy new year to all out [there inc the key board NINJAS]

Might be a good idea to un-rest your case then? Because they are patern parts. They are totally legal and distributed by licenced dealerships there has been no theft of design involved. This case is not the same. I dont care if Luke stole the design or not I am not going to buy a front bumper so it dont matter to me. What does matter and this is what we should be concentrating on is: Was the design stolen or not? If it was then Luke is out of order. If he didnt then the Twinz are? Easy as. As for buying the bumper cheap. You get what you pay for.

I dont think Luke would like the thread closing until it has been up for a good few days seeing as he is away now and not able to add comments. I think it would only be fair to leave on, until as he has requested made 8 pages or so. Plus I do think you should wait to see if there are any comments made back by the twinz without prejudice.

OFF TRACK

I just want to say I hope everyone had a good xmas and heres to a great new year for all

threads will be closed whenever a mod or comittee member feels appropriate, not when a registered member thinks it should be closed, ie: luke

this may be put to bed soon as it has gone completely off topic, it was posted to ask why another thread has gone missing andnow its back onto patens and so on

with all due respect Ceejay if Luke wants to make requests of this club, he is not a subbed member through choice and therefore he should have the same rights to make demands of the club as any other registered member, which from what i can gather is not much.

theres also another way of looking at this which nobody has cottoned on to. how many of you go to your local car spares for parts such as : brake pads/shoes, track rod ends, anti roll bar bushes, water pumps, fan belt, alternator, god the list is endless. you not though that they are ALL COPIES OF ORIGINALS somewhere along the line, but you dont complain about that !!!. you dont turn round and say, im not buying it because its not a genuine part, your just glad you can get it cheaper than going to the dealers for it. i rest my case.

see where you going with that, but I think youl find specific parts and not generic parts that fit a lot of cars have to pay royalties if the part is registered in this country.

at teh end of the day Luke and others copy parts, so does teh rest of the automotive trade. Is it wrong? Legaly no or they would be in a fair amount of trouble wouldnt they.

is this thread or any like it doing our community any good? No, and in fairness most dont realy give a hoot one way or the otehr.

all car parts are NOT patent copies that come into this country, ive seen them, so not really bothered what anyone thinks on the matter. ive been in the motor trade long enough to know. take it or leave it. thats all i will say on the matter.

as neither the Twinz or luke are traders on this forum, ive decided to close this thread, please take any arguments to where ever they are subscribed members or traders

all the best
