Guy's wtf is going on, every time I try to organise a meet, I get either little or NO response, or people start backing out of it close to the date, so it gets cancelled, am I to take i that you all No longer want meet's? coz to be franc, I feel as though I'm wasting my time. :rant:

I felt the same Kim but its quality but not quantity. Its best to have 3 folk turn up and have a great time than 30 report back it was rubbish.

 

I know this isnt my region but it would be so much better if folk only put their name down if they were DEFFO coming and not because they had good intentions

Stick with it bud :) Once you get a reputation for having the best meets everyone wants to come ;)

Been there, done that over the years but only had to cancell one that I was involved in and that was Billing this year.

 

What you realise after a while is you put most of your efforts into the events and things that you want to do and then it don't matter how many turn up as you and the others who go anjoy it because it is what you want to do anyway

 

But the biggest satisfaction is when you put on a biggy and when it is going on you walk arround and see the happy smiling faces and you think to yourself I helped put that there

 

Keep plugging away at it and it will come good in the end

i know what your sayin phil about the time of year, but it does'nt cost that much to have bite to eat, a few drinks and have a laugh and i'm always strapped for cash, personally i've only been to 2 meets but thats only cos the car was'nt workin for the 1st 2 years of ownership, i'm gonna try my hardest to make it to every meet from now on, cos i had a crackin laugh with you lot, and them hobnobs where great at tomo's house :D

Persevere .... as said above, this time of the year is pretty cr@p, weather, money, holidays etc.

 

Have you tried organising different things compared to the normal pub meets.... not sure what you guys do as a region, but not everyone likes to sit in a car park for a few hours doing the same thing.

 

I did notice you have a 'bowling meet' on the cards.... keep bumping it ;) Maybe after christmas when people have settled a bit. :)

contrare to popular belief i have actually attended quite a few meets this year, i also go to the japnortheast meets, but then it is only down the road from me lol

Ive not been to many this year because of my basketball schedule however i always used to come to them.

lol did one morning on me way to work to do the 1/4 mile at york, everytime I had been the weather was crap and couldn't get grip, was on me way to work and the sun was shining so pulled up round the corner and rang in saying I would explain on monday why a wasnt in because i couldn't think of an excuse lololol

Ye keep at it, I am just trying, problem is cant please everyone all the time, maybe try picking a different day or ask which dates people prefer, its working for us, did a poll,lol...well we will see on 27th if everyone that is on the list turns up :hyper:

what time and when just got my z running again looking forward to meet

i have some work to do on my car on saturday. track rod end replace steering boot split and bearing housing and hub to swap, but should have it done on saturday as well.

I will pop up there if thats ok. this will be my first meet and the car needs some tlc. not in same condition as all yours but i did get it cheap knowing i't was gonna be an expensive project.

 

But if you'll have me i'm there. bowling sounds like a class idea.
