They may pay more to be a trader, have answered a few questions from them yesterday, so maybe they will do more.

would be interesting if we can get good deals from them, plus have an added benifit of more sercurity for purchasing from the states and a valid point of contact. More competition, better prices for us lot

What percentage import tax would you expect to pay when you order from these guy's. :D

thats a tough one to be honest. I got off lightly £229 but that was on around 2k consignment however i have to say they sent the stuff next day from usa and got to me within a week. Good service!

Approx 21% is what you should allow for mate and shipping fees are also duty payable, so add the cost of goods and shipping together, convert to pounds and calculate 21% of that as import fees, that is the correct amount.

It does seem from Bird's £229 on a 5 thousand dollar order his goods were undervalued by almost 45%, great if all goes to plan and in his case it did, however damaged goods or missing and you can only claim the amount on the box and the company will NOT help you!

btw, i meant ask mate what yer buying ? cos there a small number of parts that are US fitment only and no US suppllier does em for our UK spec and in some cases Jap spec.

Its a shame though that its that expensive for businesses to run in this country that we have to take our business to foreign shores.

 

I always try to patron local, British companies first, but through no fault of their own they can no longer remain competitive.
