The national events are not as good as they used to be IMHO.

And the club has £15,000 or so in the bank anyway. Does it really need a tenner or whatever from me?

Obviously not? :D and this year was a bit of a disaster with the weather etc. hence not many club meets.

the club can arrange meets and do try but the turn out never matches the people that say on the lists they will attend.. That in tself has a knock on effect on morale and peoples willingness to travel to futue events, that is not something the club can overcome, that is purely down to the members

Don't get me wrong - it's still a great club.

I just remember the events Chunk used to organise and thought they were really good. It all went a bit Pete Tong when he got banned - yes I know there were valid reasons and all that.

It's been a while since I've been to a club event to be honest. Maybe I should give the car a clean up and go to one. Is that big one Andy Duff was planning still happening?

When things get a little easier I will more than likely re-subscribe 'cos I still want to keep in touch with the wonderful world of the 300zx.

And you never know, one day I might own one again (please God let that day come soon LOL!!) :D

ALL ON THERE!!

Each year is different then the last and I will carry on as a full member as long as I feel the need. £15 is a small fee to pay for what you get back. I would think nothing of paying out £15 worth of petrol to go somewhere I dont need to go or visit someone I didnt need to visit. So why not cancel 1 unwanted trip and pay for a years worth of subscription on here? :D

Yeah. OK Bri. I should be so lucky mate. :D The only massage I get is on me feet when I walk. Or on me..............Nah! I wont go there.

Sure did :D

How the hell did you manage that Andy? I thought he'd disappeared forever! Quality international detective work

Back on topic, It would be nice to see some more tangible benefits to subbed members. The magazine would have been a quality joint venture and it's a pity if we've missed the boat on that :(

I still think that the membership packs were a good move forward, but obviously they don't help to boost renewals. IMO one of the top reasons for membership in the past was to participate in group buys. We've had some great ones over the years! There just don't seem to be that many going on these days :(

Bottom line is the social side and the feeling of belonging to something worthwhile. I'm sorry to say that some older standing members I've spoken to recently have decided not to renew because of the "politics" which is a real shame :(
