Hi all,

Are these tubs any gd for the zed also what is involved in getting them fitted to my car is it alot of work? I know the engine has to be removed etc etc But what other mods do i need to do to get them to fit and working properly.

The reason is a mate of mine has taken his greddy twinturbo conversion off his 350z! The kit was bought off the z1 site with the fmic opsion about 6 months ago. I have bought the kit off him hoping to sell the kit on with or without the tubs.

thanx

Mac1 has these on his Zed, I dont believe it's straight forward though, im sure the inner wings have to be modified to get them in!!

Best drop him a PM and ask.

It depends which manifolds you use. If you use the Greddy manifold designed for the 300zx they fit OK, but if you use the Pentroof as Ian did you need to do some engine bay rearranging.

Hmm decisions decisions ive already spent more than i wanted on my zed as always lol.

I dnt know wot to do :(

Also think about turbo spool up time, with Greddy TD05 16G the turbo's cut in at around 4,100 RPM... with the 18's it may be 4,500 RPM...

You really need to think about what your trying to achieve and why? Then what you want the car for?

Then read as much as you can and ask as much as poss at to what you need to attain it.

I'd start by having a full forged engine rebuild and get you crank balanced to the Flywheel/ Clutch "your going to need" and the pully wheel your going to use. Then you'll need to have your heads sorted again dependant on what you want from your performance.

Once you have the basics right it will not cost as much if you get things wrong.

Doing it by the scatter gun method of rushing in bolting on all the bits you think you need will result in a failure somewhere and that gets costly.

Get everything you need before you start and get someone like Phil a C & S Wood to build it for you because He'll tell you if you've missed anything along the way. Then when you've done your list. Just look at all the other cars you can buy for that amount of dosh. You will not have much change left from £18K if your doing the whole hog and with incidentals it'll +add up to more.

It is a serious commitment to an old Nissan. It does take over your life.

Thanx for your help very1 :) after reading the threads i think ill stick with the mods ive got and sell the kit as it is other wise the car will never be on the road lol

Good choice tbh, supporting mods for those turbos would cost a fortune

I am running over 30psi and the performance is shattering all I need now is a strong gearbox and I am almost complete.
