Problem (for me) is that a blade shaves too close, the hairs retract under the skin which feels very smooth, but they become in-grown and then I have lots of lumps, the razor hacks the top off and I'm a mess ... So, electric with slimy stuff is the way.

mine do that and turn into friggin lumps and get razored also. Thank f##k I'm not alone though i was turning into an alien

Electric razors are crap! Its all about preparation - make sure you get as much HOT water on your face BEFORE applying shaving foam/gel. Then use a razor washed under a cold tap. I used to suffer big time but since doing the above, not a single problem :)

half the time i dont even use shaving gel. i wet shave upwards against the grain. exceptionally smooth shave and no rash!

before anyone says it after a couple of days my face is like wire wool so no jokes about soft stubble LOL

yeh you all laugh. You dont know the pain i get when rubbing against the snatch of this rough afro monofilant :smw:

Wire wool? Ask Big Kim about zedfest

Personally I use both electric and wet razor. I use the electric while having a shower to do a 'rough cut' then clear off all the rest using a gillette fusion vibrating blade with king of shaves gel to clear up the left overs.

I've found it to be the most comfortable method

:x: ;)

Best not

leccy shaver if im in a rush but the full works if im on a promise used to go to this itallian bloke a few years ago he did the full works with the cut throat and hot towels i didnt need to shave for 5 days after it was awesome

I just bought a Reminton Titanium Electric.....the instructions tell you that you have to use it daily for 4 weeks till your skin gets used to it.

Before this I used a Mach 3 - (Bought the Fusion but it was useless too thick - one day I am going to invent the 115 blade razor)

Almost the same a Duff.......Hot water on the face, gel/foam lather up, then

1. down(with the grain) on the face and up on the neck. - to remove most of the long hairs

-----technically at this point you should rinse face and re-lather --- but I never bother -----

2. gently up(against the grain) on the face and down on the neck. - to get really close.

I got sick fed up of buying bloody blades all the time when I have to shave every 1-2 days. :( Hence the Electric - Plus when your running late you can save time and just shanve on the way to work!

and join us next week when we will be learning how to wash our necks
