hi how do i get the heater matrix out can ne one help ???

Are you an auto or manual car? Easy way without loosing too much skin it to take the dash out to get to it.

I tried it with the dash in and gave up and went the whole hog and pulled it apart.

Will take a while if you have never done it so put aside two days, one to remove and one to replace all the parts.

Sure there is a link on how to do it, will find it for you.

Im changing my matrix and clutch booster next week! Got new gauges and headunit too!

Really not looking forward to it!

What a nightmare, took me about 15 hours all in... Those guides are a god send though and be careful when your removing the heater vents at the top of the dash, they get well brittle!

Good Luck!!

Take the dash out. If you don't you fook about for ever and then endup taking it out anyway. It is so easy to do once the dash is out.

Here's one I did earlier

 i remember that well, i felt sick that night as i went home leaving it like that wondering how the hell i'd get it all back together. But with help from greg and Mr. F I managed ;)

Daunting task but once the heater itself has been done and you start putting everything back in place you get a big sense of pride that you did it yourself

fook taking the dash out, you would need your head testing to do that. LMAO no offence mark. Manuals are fiddly, as your removing the pedal, but an auto can be done in 3hours from start to finish after you have carried out about 30 off them like a hamster under the dash in the middle of winter :)

No doubt Greg, but most of us have never done one, until we do one.

How many Zeds have you seen with splits and tears in the boot trim because people haven't unfastened everything in the right order to take the trims out. Same with the dash out job. when I've done a few i might chance doing the heater matrix with the dash in. Until then I still think anyone doing it first time is better removing the lot.

true, although there is far less to get wrong by leaving the dash in, It also depends on size as there 0 room with your head under the dash :D
