Now on to my next problem.

 

My computer has been getting increasingly slower and slower. And now every time I use IE(6) it just locks up, cant do anthing and I have to close it and every time it comes up with blah blah error and asks to send an error report.

I now use FireFox.

Still aint fixed it and really don't want to (unless I have no alternative) reinstall windows. I have tried kaspersky virus scan all sorts of adaware/spybot/bug off software but nothing works. Can anyone help me ?

Get hold of SpyBot Search And Destroy (SpyBot S&D) and do a SpyWare check, always a good place to start!

 

On the other matter of Internet Explorer, go through the procedure as stated in the other thread, which should sort it out. but defo do the spyware check first!

Wil have another look at the other thread, I was drunk the last time I read it a few days ago :duffer: :headvswal

try a programme called ccleaner.

 

You can get it free off file hippo.

 

Basically it cleans all your cookies off and will also find unused file extensions etc.

 

Run this and your spyware and your virus checker. Remove anything that is found and then do a defrag.

 

Hopefully your computer will then run a little quicker.

It can pick up stuff SpyBot doesn't, and vice-versa!

And don't forget to run your anti-virus software, you never know (assuming you have one? AVG is a good FREE one if you don't, also available from Download.com)
