Just saw 'The 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches Ever' on C4. I think 3 or 4 Enfield ones made it in. Impressive.

Yeah, I watched that too. IMHO Lou and Andy shouldn't have been number one. I don't mind it, but it's far from their best scetch. Absolutely no way was it better than some of the old Two Ronnies and Morecombe and wise stuff.

agree i dont think we will be talking about lou and andy in 20-30 years, its cause they are fresh in peoples heads that they get the vote

Agreed (except for Morecambe & Wise :D ) - none of the new acts are anywhere near as clever or timeless as the classics. Harry Enfield came close but even he is not as good as he used to be.

 

My favourites remain The two Ronnies, Benny Hill and Kenny Everett :bow:

even though harry enfield is highly rated in my opinion he is underated the guy was a genius. even now watching the re-runs for the 50th time i still pi55 myself at them
