After I`d been stuck/crawling along in traffic for about an hour the other day , I noticed a humming noise , as if something turning/spinning was rubbing , or lacking lubrication . It sounded too " heavy " to be the fan (?) It happened once before , in the Summer , but I hadn`t noticed it since then .

Any ideas would be most appreciated , lads an` lasses .

What area of the car is the noise coming from. Diagnosing faults without hearing them is hard enough as it is.

I couldn`t really tell from inside the car , Nick . And by the time I got home after doing about six miles in 90-120 minutes I was so hungry and glad to get back , I forgot about it :mac1:
