Ok, had a problem with the rear brakes....keep on binding/locking turning the discs glowing red.

Pads have been replaced and all pistons in calipers working properly....the problem has now been traced back to the rear balancing valve below the rear boot carpets i believe.

Nissan want silly money for you...is it ok to source a 2nd hand one from a N/A or TT for my N/A?????

Is there a part number on yours, I have a TT I am breaking and could look tomorrow at the part number to compare.

Cheers John

Not 100% sure if there is as asked garage and didn't note it down, its in the garage atm and been put back together so might be hard to find.

Anyone know if the N/A is the same as the TT one??? It's a Jap Import as well.

:)

I'll take a pic for you tomorrow if it helps. I would imagine they are the same but with these cars you never know.

Part No is: 47600-32P00 Main Number (0568-941 embossed in small numbers).

I've got pictures but can't put them up til about 6/7 tonight.

Thats the ABS unit :) I would doubt its that tbh but worth a try if you can find one cheap enough...

Yep thats the ABS unit alright

Pics to compare on the same thread, Sam. It is exactly the same I have the car completely stripped almost so its not hidden by the boot panels, it sits on the RH side of the boot under a carpet section.

Cheers John

John do you still have the brake master cyliner? I'd send that too as its much more likely the culprit :)

Sorry Andy mine's sold but more than likely some of the other guy'll have one.

Cheers John

No need to apologise to me lol. Worth trying the ABS I suppose then if not that then find a BMC.... It could be the ABS unit but we'll have to wait and see.....

Sorry i'll stop apologising....BMC's brand new are a good price at Courtesy Nissan, 248 dollars plus post and import tax etc for a new one, cant say what they would cost here though brand new....megabucks no doubt.

ok this is not the part that i'm after finally!!!

Haven't got a picture of the part i need but a little description from the garage.

apparently its underneath the boot on the rear drivers side and slightly offset....attaches in or on the rear subframe. the brake pipes come from the BMC then go into this part b4 returning towards the front of the car.

Any ideas??? I'm stumped!!!

Any help gratedfully received

:(

HELP!!!!

Er.. that sounds like they just described the ABS unit to me - exactly the unit that's been pictured already in this thread..

You may want to take the car somewhere that knows the difference between an ABS unit and a bias valve at this point....
