Can you just remove an airbag steering wheel and fit an earlier non airbag on or an aftermarket one???

I know you wont have an airbag if you do it but that is not a concern for me personally. :D

Not got one on my zed but i did it on my last car before the zed(almera gti),the boss kit came with a what looked like a in-line fuse that fitted via loop into the airbag plug which sorta confused the car into still thinking it had an airbag so sent the light out on the dash as per norm

I think so, badger1, the previous owner of my black Z took off the airbag wheel and put on a S1 wheel.....

I got rid of the airbag wheel on mine, I got the boss off dan at DTA, it was the only one I could find that had the correct fit and attachment to make the ecu think the airbag was still there.

while we're on the subject of airbags.......did the series one j-specs have them fitted on the steering wheel? I'm thinking not but hoping someone can confirm it!

mines a series 1 j-spec and its not got the airbag fitted mate, just a standard z wheel
