As per usual for a job on a z, I have greatly underestimated what's involved here I think!

I need to swap the glass on the front fog/sidelight, but how the hell do I get the old one off? Do I need to take the whole unit out, and if so how?

Cheers

Hi,

Just unscrew your indicator lense and remove the indicator unit...You will then have easy access to the back of the bumper behind the foglight. Use a ratchet spanner to undo the bolts and remove the whole unit.

You can then dismantle the light and remove the glass. It's quite straight forward and should only take about an hour in total!

Have a look at this link for a photo description.......http://tech.aus300zx.com/fog/FogLights.html

Cheerz,

To take the foglight out first take the indicator off should be two screws,

once that is off then look inside and you will see that fog light is held on by 3 nuts just talk them off and then it should slide out, it can be tricky getting your hand in there but it can easily be done.

As regarding the glass I am not sure if it will come off, but cant really see why not, would it not be easier just to change the whole fog light.

In hind sight yes :D

But I managed to get the glass alot cheaper than the whole unit, I was thinking I'd be able to swap it over without removing it.

Thanks for the info chaps!
