The last few days i had been smelling something like burnt oil while i was driving and then my gf noticed a few small drops of oil on her driveway after i dropped her off home last night. So i inspected the area under the rear of the engine bay for five minutes but couldnt see ay dripping oil. It was at night to so i couldnt see anything in the engine bay until today when i saw this on the mainfold

I tried to get a photo of where i suspect the leak is coming from but i couldnt get a good enough shot with my crappy camera. But to give you a rough idea its coming from just under the plemum here;

Coming from what looks like an injector bractor with 2 bolts. Now i know its not the PCV hoses as i check them the day after and they are all fine with now breaks or leaks of anykind. My fear is i may need to do a plemum pull What do you guys think??

well that sounds more accruate then what the aus300 forums gave me, which they thought was leaking PCV hoses. What would cause the rocket covers to leak. I had my 100k serivce done 10 months ago and i think i remember my mechanic told me about if it leaks in the rocket covers its bad i think. I only ask as i did my normal 10k service a couple of months ago and i added more then the recommended about of oil into the engine just wondering if this would cause oil to leak out fo the engine into the rocket covers.

I also forgot to mention i have a rear main seal leak as well but i dout they would be related. I have also been checking the oil on the mainfold and have noticed no more leaking so far.

certainly looks like it could be the rocker cover gasket to me, bit of a bummer to see in there properly. I doubt it would be the pcv hoses, shouldnt be that much oil in pcv system its only a breather, and if its been serviced really the pcv hoses should be done, as usually when you take them of especially the ones from the valves they split. If it is indeed the rocker cover gasket, then id suggest the old one went back on, or its been fitted incorrectly which is really quite difficult, or the cover bolts are to tight/slack.
