Standard Temp Gauge

My temp gauge has been a bit erratic since it's engine rebuild but has now stopped working completely, any suggestions chaps?

    could be that the connection has broken where it fits onto the sensor. right at the front of the engine in the middle. there are 2 that look similar, just make sure they are connected ok.
