HI guys can you help?

Just bought the black TT 93' UK manual from 'niceguyindahous' 2 weeks ago and took it out properly first time yesterday and its running real slow psi never gets above 0, its running reallly rich (exhaust stinks) and is just not the fast car i expected ;(

any advice or know of any good garages in york/leeds/bradford area? Really gutted as i bought this for lge sum - unfortunately did not pick this up on the test drive

I'm new to this car so any advice is welcome - seller claims it running at 400bhp yet its no faster than my Vectra GSI!!! :(

It should boost to 9-10 psi in "extended" mode or 7 psi in "normal".

Check your error codes - if you do a search you will find out how and also check the condition of all your boost pipes and vacumm hoses. Then post up your results and hopefully someone will be able to help you sort it out

Never getting above 0 psi can be a sign of a seized turbo, but as above check all the pipes etc first.

Running rich is most frequently caused by a faulty oxygen sensor (or two), which are relatively easy to diagnose with a ConZult and replace.

Bought this privately from forum member on here! Will be furious if that is the case - how much for a new turbo anyway??

Do both turbos cos its an engine out job. No point in just doing one as chances are the other is not far behind it.

Costs about £1200 - £2500+ depending on what you want to do.

slow down a little fellas, a simple case of a blown off boost hose would cause both no boost pressure and hugely rich running.
