Anyone got any ideas? my 1994 Zx TT just cut out on me I thought it was out of fuel but not so, we have a good spark,good fuel pressure,good compression and the injectors are working fine.I give up does it just not like me anymore??? HELP!! :confused: :confused:

Have you tried re starting after leaving it a while, PTU can cause car to just due when its on its way out, but it normally starts after.

PTU failure symptons like that..As above , let the engine cool down and if it starts again, that could well be it..though a 94 zed would be running a series 2 ptu which dont fail very often

Make sure you have good contacts on your sensors, i.e. water temp sensor, TPS etc., as these will initiate a non start. Have you carried out an ECU fault code check ?

Ok the Z is still dead !! How can I check the PTU ? I have access to a fault code scanner but the connection on my car is not DTC, I am wondering if the fuel pressure reg is u/s as when cranking fuel comes out of the vacuum pipe end,whaddya think ?
