Started my car up just fine this morning..but had hardly left the driveway and it stalled. Tried to start it again and nothing but turn-over. Tried a few times with approx 5-10min intervals but nothing! Waited almost 2hrs for rescue truck to arrive who thought it might be flooded so took out the fuel pump fuse but this didn't solve the problem!

Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? The car is an auto so complicates things a little!

If not ideas, can anyone suggest a decent garage I can get towed to that won't rip me off?? I'm based in Reading but the garages around my area (Northumberland Ave) have ripped me off in the past with my previous car so I'm sure they'll have a field day with the 300!!

All ideas welcome! This is my daily drive so need to get it sorted asap!! Planning on leaving it for the day and trying again tonight in the hope that it may have drained somewhat....

needs to find out what ingrediant is missing fella.

Fuel

Spark

Air

Does it smell of fuel when turning over?

Does it spark if you take a coilpack out with a sparkplug? My guess is your PTU has died if its a series one.

have you run a diagnostic on the ecu ..?? in the FAQ area there is a how to it may lead you in the right direction.....check the connections on the PTU in the engine bay next to teh cam belt cover and the connections on the ecu in the passenger footwell

good luck

Cheers for all the tips guys! Unfortunately I haven't got the tools or the knowledge to run a diagnostic! I'm hoping one of the guys from around here is reading this and will come to my rescue!!

When it's turning over it smells of fuel and sounds like it's almost there....but not quite. I'm pretty sur eits sparking as I think that's the 'hiccups' I hear as it gets my hopes up that it's about to bite!

I've now run the diagnostic as mentioned above and got the following error code:

45: Injector leak

I assume I need to check the injectors but can anyone help out with this, perhaps with a photo/diagram and what I should be looking for? I'll probably have to wait til tomorrow now as it's gotten too dark but any help would be very much appreciated!!!

I dont know how to check them without taking the plenum etc off, but im sure somebody will help you with an easier way, if it turns out you need new injectors and or rail, e-mail me, ive got a whole stock rail sat here doing nothing and im 30 mins from reading,

Cheers mate, will bear that in mind but fingers crossed it won't come to that! Like I said above I have fairly limited tech knowledge so I really am hoping someone can help me fix this problem without too much trouble (or expense!)....

...really do appreciate any help guys (and girls!)....
