Bit of a boring topic I know, but anyways ..

My headlamp washers havnt worksed since Ive had the car. Looking in the workshop manual

it talks about a 'fuseable link' (how is this different to a normal fuse?) on the left hand side of the bonnet area near the windscreen. Having checked here I cant see one labelled accordingly.

I thought the fuse is the obvious thing to check first. The relay seems to click in and out ok.

Any ideas guys?

Also, where the hell is the motor that drives the washers, and more importantly how do you get to it.

Glenn.

if you have normal 2+2 tt, then the motor for the washers is attached to the bottle (i think)

the bottle is inside the o/s/front inner wing. You have to take the wheel arch trim out to get to it.

you may have a loose connection or something like that.

Thanks Craig, i'll check over the weekend

A fusable link usualy looks like a resistor and is soldered to a circuit board, as against a fuse in a socket. They are often fitted in items that would be replaced as a whole unit in the case of failure.

Mine worked! untill some little git, (being polite) nicked the nearside one and bent me arial. Nissan want £65+vat for a new jet - anyone got a spare.

Its now only good for squirting bus stops & novas on the way past:-0
