Hello.

I've just noticed a pinhole size leak in a hose at the back of the engine. My question is does anyone know where the hose runs to, as I couldn't quite see when I had a brief look?

The hose is as mentioned at the back of the engine right at the top. What I believe is the heater matrix hose that runs into the car is just under it. The hose in question has a jubilee clip at one end, but the other end vanishes below and out of sight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it will give me some sort of idea on what kind of job it's going to be, and how to get at it.

The car is a N/A by the way.

Thanks in advance,

Adrian.

there are rubber coolant hoses that go around the engine block. Some of them carry coolant to the throttle bodies and are not actually needed. These rubber lines run on the top of the plenum and you can see them better if you remove the coil packs.

As for the heater matrix lines i believe you can see two hoses entering the firewall.

There are plenty of people who have had a similar problem if you do a search.

Sorry i cant help anymore than this.

Thanks mate I really appreciate it.

I think I'm going to have a late night this week!

Ade.

It is probably as said one of the mainy pipes that run to the plenum.

Can be bypassed but is not an easy job, Takes a while I do believe.

A very good picture of pipes etc on this thread.

Good luck with it.
