I found a map the other day comprising the areas. I think technically your south west, however as you say it isn't that far so registering yourself as south Central is fine I Spose.

As for your friends do they have email in anyway shape or form? Even if they do not wish to regularly frequent the forum they could still join and then be in loop for show events etc. I'm hoping to produce a accurate members list and further to it a mailing list for the region, that way those that don't come on often will still be able to keep upto date via the pm or email system :)

Hi SC members,

 

Just to let you all know, I have been looking at some possible area changes this weekend. I am considering merging some lesser patronised and represented areas, with others that are more active - in the effort to try and encourage more regional meets.

 

I'll not say anymore until I have spoken properly with your REO, Howard, but watch this space. Hopefully we can improve things for everyone's benefit, moving into 2014!!

You're dead right Gary - but that is just it mate!! There simply aren't enough people willing to step up to the plate, unfortunately...:sad:

 

That, and as the car gets more rare; or members sell up and move on, it sometimes leaves a void in certain areas of the country. The TV region is a case in point. It was set up as an experiment a few years ago - and it worked for a while but has since died a death - hence I'm thinking of merging it back into either the SE or SC; where there are more members and (hopefully) more regional events.

Richard we got the south central section seperated because all the meets were the east side of London or near bristol, it's a long way to go to sit in A pub carpark getting cold and wet, when it was first setup we had some great meets, times have changed and money is tight.

Also with the right reo they are more in tune with what's available to them in the local area, you will find reo's will stick to near where they live, meaning you will get lots if isolated members who are unable to travel the silly distances to meet fellow z owners,
