Just taken delivery of my new zed today - its on a K reg j spec manual LWB TT in gun metal grey.

but here is the odd thing.

It has all the things i would expect in a later series 2 car...

Leather interior with electric driver and passenger seats

Alcantara side panels

Drivers Air-bag

Cruise control with the stalk control not steering wheel control

Air-con where you can actually change the direction of the air...

Front seatbelts are on the door pillars not doors

Rear 3 point seatbelts...

What year did they start adding all that good stuff?

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Mine is an early-ish K reg j-spec and my cruise is on the steering wheel and I have no airbag. But the rest is the same as yours.

Hi,

Have a look at the labels on your front belts to see the year of manufacture....The rears may have been changed though.

Of course owners over the years make alterations to their cars so that you often find later model parts on early cars.

Cheerz,

Jez

Clues to see if it's a series 3 car is to take a look at the power steering reservior.

If it has wires comming from the top it is NOT S3 and has the S1/S2 hydraulic hicas.

No wires=S3 electric hicas.
