Disconnect Battery

I would like to disconnect my battery so I can reset the ECU. What I want to know is. Do I have to physically remove the connection from the battery or could I just pull the battery fuse that is in the Small fuse box in the top lefthand side of the engine bay?

    I don't know the answer to this, because I don't like electronics, but how can it disharge the caps if the circuit is broken via the battery?

    the same reason you must earth and discharge the ecu before working on it (ie fitting a chip) ;)
