I need to buy a new radiator for an auto TT asap. Is a UK Nissan dealer the best place to get one (as the standard US ones are different spec), or is it worth buying a Nismo radiator from Courtesy in the States and having it shipped over?

 

I believe the Nismo rads are the same as the standard Euro rads. Is that correct?

 

Is there anyone in the UK who does discounted genuine Nissan parts? The Z Centre?

 

Also, I assume there's no problem with fitting a UK rad in a Jap spec TT is there?

Yeah the Z center can get you a few percent discount on Genuine Nissan Parts, i would have thought it would not be worth gettin the NISMO one shipped over to the UK from the states.

 

I have no idea about Jap incompatibility, im sure luke at the Z center will, but i know that certain parts of the cooling system were only upgraded on the Euro models after some AutoBahn action , i know the Oil cooler was one of them, not sure about the radiator, deffinatly something to watch for, Altho even they are bigger im sure it wont be too much problem to fit it one way or the other.

if ure end caps are still ok then have you considered just having ure rad re-cored any good rad conditioners will do this for you and wont cost you more than 95 sovs

 

If the end cap is the bit that the upper hose attaches to, then that's my problem - it snapped off. :-(

 

How about a secondhand one. Lots of the 300 specialists seem to have the remnants of cars kicking around that have been launched into hedges backwards by people with heavier feet than brains !

 

Have you tried Jonny at Grasshopper, a month or so ago i was there talking to Jonny about Rads (i know sad as i am)and just as our conversation finished he pushes up the tailgate and shoves a brand new rad in the boot!! Now that's what i call sales tactics.

So give him a bell, no idea of cost but at least he cant shove it down the phone line to ya.
