downloaded some films converted them to vcd from avi's,just wondered if you know of any software that could cut them into two to put on cd???as it is 1.2gig and it ain't gonna fit on a cd!!

if my memory serves me corectly, cut the original avi file first,then convert to vcd, you can cut/divide the vcd file but only the first cut/divide part will burn onto vcd,the next part wont,becouse the encoding sequence will be broken,hope this sounds ok, bit tired.

VCD is actually MPG format. I use TempMPGEncoder for all my VCDs. Go to http://www.tmpgenc.net/ to download it.
